CONTRACT: Permanent
HOURS: 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday
PAY RATE: £12.90 per hour
Role Overview and Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Apricot family as a Loading Bay & Warehouse Assistant at our Biggleswade warehouse.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient flow of stock through our operation. With a primary focus on the loading bay and goods-in processes, you will be responsible for receiving, checking, unloading and distributing deliveries across the warehouse. As part of our cross-trained warehouse team, you will also support other operational areas, including stock movement, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient service for our stores and online customers.
What We Desire From Our Team
Receive, unload and process incoming deliveries safely and efficiently.
Check deliveries against paperwork and report any discrepancies or damages.
Distribute stock accurately to the appropriate warehouse locations.
Move and stack stock using pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment.
Support stock replenishment and maintain inventory accuracy.
Assist with picking, packing and dispatch activities during busy periods or as operational needs require.
Carry out general warehouse duties to support the wider team.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe loading bay and warehouse environment.
Follow company policies and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Work flexibly across different warehouse functions as part of a cross-trained team.

Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse or loading bay environment is preferred but not essential.
Experience operating a forklift truck or reach truck would be advantageous, although training may be available for the right candidate.
An understanding of goods-in processes, stock handling, or inventory management would be beneficial.
